Since beginning Jasmina Parade, I have received some lovely compliments and encouragement along the way, which never fail to put a smile on my face and make me even more determined to chase my dream of becoming an editorial stylist.

A few weeks ago, a dear friend asked me to do a blog post on what I wear in the office during my work week as an accountant. You can see by these photos that I was nowhere near an office and my pencil skirt and stilettos were juxtaposed with an empty corner block of land and abandoned shop.

Working in the corporate world, there is a tendency to reach for the reliable black, grey and white hues, however, as with recent trends, I always prefer to reach for some colour. Here I've paired a simple but well-structured, smashing cobalt pencil skirt and added a bit of embellishment on top; because every girl needs a bit of sparkle in her day!

Do you think this outfit is appropriate for the office?
