The weather and I just can't be friends for the time being. Every time I seem to find the perfect location, it rains. I guess it's times like these where I need to prove that I am adaptable and can think quick on my feet!
My boyfriend and I ducked up to Gympie for a few days and here we made friends with the new calves, the sheep, the geese and the hyperactive Border Collie. I love getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city; I find that the air is always crisper and clearer and it's always cosy in front of the fire as the temperature starts to drop.
On our last afternoon, I rushed out to this magnificent fallen tree which, had come down in a crazy storm. I had pictured a blazing sunset with me silhouetted against burning yellow and orange hues. But, it was not to be so I had to settle with the grey and the drizzle. Unfortunately, the cattle were grazing yonder and the dog was sleeping so my props were a straw hat and my Merino wool cardigan. I also just picked up my own rainboots (hooray!) and managed to properly initiate them during the visit.
