I have made several mentions of my turbulent relationship with the weather in past blog posts, but on a chilly Winter's day when the sun was out in force and a blessed relief from the recent drizzle, my photographer friend and I realised just how challenging and tricky that sunlight can be and how important shadows and angles are. This makes me more determined to learn how I can make "the light" my friend.

While I was climbing over boulders and getting in touch with nature, my original choice of outfit soon moved into all that glitters. Whether it be in the night or in the sunlight, a little bit of sparkle always adds some razzle dazzle. This kind of garment has "party girl" written all over it that it makes you want to grab your dancing shoes and boogie; yet, you find me out in scrub land in the middle of the day, far from a dancefloor!

Another case of unexpected contrasts.
