Can you feel it? I'm talking about the blazing sunshine and the thermometer returning a 26 degree Celsius weekend, which means "Goodbye Winter" and "Hello Summer!" (I'm not the biggest fan of the cold). So to celebrate the return of the heat, I donned this floaty, paisley-printed pair of Zara shorts that I picked up during my long weekend in Adelaide back in May (To Zara, pretty please open a store in Brisbane!).

At first glance, it looks like a miniskirt but fear not (and maybe to the disappointment of the boys), there will be no sneak peeks when the wind blows. The shorts come with deep pockets for hiding simple treasures and when put together with a one-piece and sequinned sandals, you've got yourself a chic day-wear combination.

I feel that these shorts are also a relaxed alternative from the standard denim shorts and singlet combination typically seen on Queensland's beaches. Only a few more weeks of these chilly mornings and evenings and before you know it, it will be time to pull out the swimsuits!
