It's funny how sometimes there are places in your own home city that you don't really notice until you actually stop and take the time to look properly. Sometimes it's all in the detail.

Those who know me will know that I am quite the perfectionist; I am meticulous and pay close attention to detail. I like aesthetically pleasing images. Which is somewhat of an irony I suppose when you snap a photo of a girl in a cocktail dress striding along the uneven pavements, passing gritty buildings in Brisbane's CBD.

My thought process is that contrast makes people stop and take notice. To look at the detail and to analyse it. Contrast will make you like or dislike something almost immediately. It draws you in inexplicably or makes you recoil in disgust.

Polar opposites in some regards; just like black and white.
