I recently went away on holidays (hooray! - #iloveholidays) down south for a few days where I was greeted by some gusty winds but beautiful sunshine nonetheless.
My favourite part of this trip was staying at Selby Cottage, located at Marks Point, which is approximately 1 hour outside of Newcastle, NSW. It is a beautiful wooden cottage that was previously attached to a boatshed. A previous holiday home, it was lovingly renovated by its owners, Bob & Pat Armstrong, about 25 years ago where it now houses honeymooners and happy travellers.
The attention to detail is second to none, with all pieces of furniture having a story behind its placement in the cottage. The cottage is also situated right next to Lake Macquarie, which is the largest coastal saltwater lake in Australia. Sitting on the verandah overlooking the water is wonderfully relaxing and tranquil that you'll never want to leave; and I certainly am looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
