I've never been one to catch trains for public transport. I've always been a bus traveller. But there's something about old railway stations that I find rustic and somewhat sentimental.
These photos were shot in the town of Amamoor, a rural locality in the Mary River valley, 17km south of Gympie. Amamoor railway station was the third station of the Mary Valley railway from Gympie to Brooloo. The railway station was closed in 1996, but remains as a rail-tourist stop.
Louis Vuitton's A/W' 12 collection was reminiscent of these historic railways and the old days whereby rail was one of the primary modes of transport. I don't have an old battered suitcase with the gold plated locks and carry handle, although now I'm keen to start looking for one! - just for old time's sake.
