I continue to be amazed by the locations situated in Queensland's countryside, some simply 2 - 3 hours drive from Brisbane's CBD.

This time I found myself at Salmon Lookout up on Wolvi Creek Point. Here, I was told of group gatherings during one's childhood, including family picnics, races up and down boulders and clambering up a now sealed-off watch tower.

There are properties that line the gravel road up to the lookout, however, I would say that unless you were a local or were informed of this place by a local, you would be hard pressed to find this little tranquil corner of the world.
